We uplift the voices and leadership of California’s youth – especially those from marginalized communities – by shaping policy, strengthening civic engagement, and creating equitable access to opportunities that build youth power and well-being. We do this by upholding our charge outlined within AB-46 (2021).

2025-26 Plan
As the inaugural Executive Director of the California Youth Empowerment Commission, I am honored to present our first Strategic Plan. Developed through statewide collaboration and meaningful engagement with youth, community partners, and stakeholders, this plan reflects the Commission’s legislative foundation under AB 46 (2021) and the voices of young Californians. It outlines a shared vision to expand civic engagement, strengthen youth leadership, and create more equitable opportunities, particularly for historically marginalized communities. As we move from planning to action, we look forward to partnering with youth and communities across California to ensure young people are valued as leaders in shaping the state’s future.
